Why did you join the Miss Wagga Wagga Quest?
I joined the Miss Wagga Quest for a plethora of reasons. I would say the most important reason why I joined is to be able to increase my professional development through boosting my confidence by public communications and to learn valuable leadership skills that I will be able to continually develop and use for the entirety of my career. I also wish to be able to contribute to the society, especially through the means of raising funds for community charities. This has not been an opportunity that has been presented to me before so when I discovered it I had to nominate and truly push myself out of my comfort zone.
What is your favourite thing about Wagga?
My favourite thing about Wagga is its people. From a Defence member perspective, it can be difficult to attain friendships throughout the community. Moving here I did not expect to be welcomed as I was. I am so thankful for how humble and kind the people of Wagga are, I have easily been able to make new friends that are now considered as my 'adopted family' and have been embraced enthusiastically into Wagga sporting teams. It has opened up new support networking which has been extremely important to me as I moved away from family.
